Save Sammy

As anyone with a TV set or access to a newspaper knows, Dubai recently opened it’s newest luxury hotel: Atlantis. Inside Atlantis is a massive aquarium. Just before opening, a juvenile whale shark was found lost just off the coast of Jebel Ali. The shark was captured and brought to Atlantis for recovery, where it was named Sammy the Shark. However, Atlantis now does not want to release Sammy as he has become quite a tourist attraction, sparking considerable protests here in Dubai. My guess is Sammy will eventually be released, so I headed out to capture him before he is set free. I have to admit, it is a stunning site to see this magical fish swim just inches in front of your face.
